Check us out: Stock up for stocking stuffers in the Village Voice

We're stoked to be included in this holiday gift guide from the Village Voice. Tweet at the author, Deena Shanker, and tell her how good she did. Thanks, Deena!
If you know someone who's stocking up to survive the Sriracha shortage, turn them onto a possible alternative with a bottle of A&B American Style Pepper Sauce. Concocted by childhood friends who "just wanted to eat good food and have a good time," this small batch creation combines a bright flavor, metered spice, and earthy sweetness. Add it to Ramen noodles, a burrito, or a breakfast omelet. And if your recipient is a real hot sauce fanatic, consider going with A&B's special gift set, which includes the original flavor and the special Brooklyn Grange edition pepper sauce.
It's not too late to stock up on our gift set from our webstore or, even better, go pick up a bottle from one of our retail partners

Happy Holidays!

Check us out: Trumping everyday condiments in Edible Queens

Photo by Michael Rudin for Edible Queens
We've been so focused on our business that we forgot to highlight this profile in Edible Queens Magazine.
Ketchup, mustard and relish—familiar companions all summer long—may now be trumped by another everyday condiment: A&B Pepper Sauce.
We think those three are definitely trumped.

Using our Pepper Sauce as a replacement for ketchup will likely do the most to reduce your consumption of added sugars and *GASP* high-fructose corn syrup.

Not to mention the additional benefit of adding flavor, not just heat.

Check us out: The Gotham Gal raves about us!

Source: Gotham Gal

Food businesses are hard. Turns out a lot of people think they have a great product when they might not.

Luckily for us, The Gotham Gal thinks we have the product.
I love the A&B Pepper Sauce.  Am honestly eating it with everything.  It isn't too spicy but just has the perfect amount of bite.  The sauce enhances what you are eating and doesn't take it over.  I am finding myself putting the sauce out for dinner just as I put out salt and pepper.
Thank you for the great feedback!

Salt, Pepper and A&B American Style Pepper Sauce on every table to add the right amount of flavor, not just heat.

"It has a bite, but it's subtle enough that it can be applied liberally. A sauce you'll want to pair with everything"  - 10 Best
"I especially liked the samples from Evil Seed Sauce Company,Heartbreaking Dawns and local New York-made A&B American Style"

Check us out: Food Republic covering the NYC Hot Sauce Expo

Food Republic recently covered the entries to the NYC Hot Sauce Expo. Of the many entrants, they listed us as one to "look out for."
Childhood friends Ariel Fliman and Brian Ballan also preach the “flavor; not just heat” gospel with their New York-made pepper sauce. The recipe is pretty straighforward: white vinegar, red Fresno chili pepper, carrot, habanero pepper and salt. They recommend using it for everything from Bloody Marys to raw oysters.
Come out this weekend (April 20 & 21) and say hi! We'll be there the whole time. Should be a blast!

We're the ones to find first, before you lay bare your tastebuds, for flavor. Not just heat.

How to use A&B American Style: Potato Chips

The Huffington Post recently ran a really easy recipe for Potato Chips, American Style.

Serves 4

  • 4 large white potatoes, cut into 1/4 inch chips
  • 1 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
  • A&B American Style Pepper Sauce
  • 1/4 tsp. sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Toss potatoes with all ingredients until potatoes are fully coated. Transfer potato chips to a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes or until chips are crispy.
  • Remove from oven; set aside to cool before serving.
  • Enjoy!
